While a bit on the cruel side, this has to be one of the most impressive practical jokes I’ve ever seen. I imagine it would be impossible to pull this off in the United States without getting sued by everyone who falls for it.

I don’t think it’s cruel, but I agree that in America it’d be all about the litigation. What does that say about us when the Germans have more of a sense of humor than we do?
